Unified Ingest & Encoding
One pipeline for live and on-demand, encoding every feed into the adaptive bitrate streams every screen needs.
Overview
What Unified Ingest & Encoding does
Unified Ingest & Encoding collapses the operator's separate live and VOD workflows into a single cloud-native pipeline. Live feeds arrive via satellite, SDI, IP stream, or SRT/RTP/RTMP, while VOD assets come in through file upload, cloud ingest, FTP/SFTP, or watch-folder automation, and every source passes through the same ingestion service before reaching the encoding engine.
The transcoding engine builds multi-bitrate adaptive streams from every source, and the packaging engine outputs HLS, MPEG-DASH, and CMAF so any client, from a set-top box to a mobile app, gets a format it can play. Because live and VOD share the same ingestion, encoding, and packaging path, operators retire duplicate transcoding farms and get a single place to monitor every asset from ingest to publish.
Multi-bitrate
Adaptive streams for every device
1 pipeline
Live and VOD unified end to end
HLS / DASH / CMAF
Formats packaged for every screen
Inside the Module
One workspace, every screen your teams need
Ingest Pipeline Monitor
A live view of every source feeding the platform, satellite, SDI, and IP stream ingestion for live channels alongside file upload, cloud ingest, and watch-folder automation for VOD, with health, throughput, and job status for each.
Under the Hood
Built on capable foundations
Unified Pipeline
Live and VOD content share one ingest and encoding path instead of two separate stacks.
Multi-Format Packaging
Every stream packages as HLS, MPEG-DASH, and CMAF from one pipeline, so any client plays it.
SCTE-35 Ad Marking
Ad insertion points are marked automatically during processing, ready for downstream ad decisioning.
DRM-Ready Packaging
Every output stream packages with DRM encryption applied at the headend, ready for playback authorization downstream.
