What Champion/Challenger Lab does
Champion/Challenger Lab gives risk teams safe infrastructure to run new scoring models, decision rules, or treatment strategies against the current production champion on a controlled slice of real traffic. A challenger never takes over decisioning outright, it runs alongside the champion so its performance can be measured before it earns any influence over real outcomes.
Every experiment is scoped, monitored, and reversible: traffic allocation is configurable, guardrails cap downside exposure, and results are tracked against the metrics that matter, approval rate, loss rate, cure rate, or conversion. When a challenger proves out, promoting it to champion is a controlled switch, not a rebuild.
