What Card Issuing & Controls does
Card Issuing & Controls lets a bank stand up a card program and put a working virtual card in a customer's wallet before the physical card ships, with PIN setup and activation completed in the same flow. Numbers are tokenized for mobile wallets and online checkout from the moment they're issued, and every purchase runs through 3DS authentication to keep fraud losses down without adding friction to legitimate spend.
Control doesn't stop at issuance. Customers can freeze a card, cap spend by category or region, or block specific merchants directly from their app, and every one of those controls takes effect on the next authorization request in real time. That combination of instant issuance and granular control is what turns a card program from a back-office product into a self-service one.
